Vladimir Spivakov Invites to Music Festival

November 8 will see the opening of the 8th Moscow Music Festival "Vladimir Spivakov Invites …" in the Moscow International Music House.

      

      This extraordinary event always attracts enormous interest of music lovers. "It is not the number of festival concerts that matters to me, but rather the opportunity to present in Moscow that what I love: something new, unique, and talented in various genres and styles", – the maestro points out.

      

      Vladimir Spivakov will appear at the festival opening as both a soloist and the conductor. Audience will listen to music by Dmitry Shostakovich and Johann Sebastian Bach at the first part of the festival. Alexey Lundin, the first violin of the orchestra Virtuosos of Moscow will solo along with the maestro in Bach concert.

      

      The second part of the concert will present Denis Matsuyev, one of the brightest pianists of the modern days, and the People's Artist of Russia. He will perform virtuoso solo parts in works by Alfred Schnittke and Witold Lutoslawski.
