The Moscow State History Museum holds an exhibition on relations of Russia and Germany since 1945 to the present.
The exposition is called Russia-Germany: from Confrontation to Cooperation. To the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
"In the few last decades there was everything: both solidarity with the German Democratic Republic, and major ideological confrontation with the Federal Republic of Germany. As well as plenty of economic cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian projects. Well, and it is a reminder that the Soviet Union played a great role in junction of the two German states", – Sergey Naryshkin, the Chairman of the State Duma emphasized at the opening of the exhibition.
The exposition presents exhibits from both Russian, and German archives. Thus, it gives a two-sided view of all the situations. A similar exposition recently opened in Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin has stirred profound interest.
