All-Russian Competition of Media Peace Makers

Winners of the 7th All-Russian Contest of Media Peace Makers "Smirotvorets" 2015 were awarded in Moscow on November 23.

      It is a journalist contest for the best coverage of the subject matter of interethnic interaction among the peoples of Russia.

      The award ceremny was opened by Igor Barinov, the head of the Federal Agency on Nationalities of Russia. The Pyatnitsky Russian National Choir, the state vocal and choreographic  ensemble Dagestan, the Udmurt Folk Song and Dance Theater "Aikai", the Chukchi singer Veronika Usholik, and the bands Namgar and Vedan Kolod greeted the participants.

      About 700 people visited the ceremony of Media Peace Makers. Everyone could see  the exhibition Children of Russia, get a souvenir magnet with one's own photos and the Smirotvorets logo, and enjoy performances of ethnic collectives and a sand animation show.
