Writer Vladimir Zheleznikov Passed Away in Moscow

The well-known Russian children's writer and screen writer Vladimir Zheleznikov, aged 91, died in Moscow.

      The Union of Cinematographers intends to petition for the writer to be laid down to rest in the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery. They are also willing and ready to provide whatever help needed to Vladimir Zheleznikov's family in organizing the farewell ceremony and the funeral.

      Vladimir Zheleznikov is the author of the story Effigy, Effigy-2, or Play of Moths, Odd Fellow from Grade 6. His first book under the title Multi-Colored History saw the light in 1960. It was followed with his script for the movie Silver Pipes.
