The default of Vnesheconombank is impossible, as the Deputy Finance Minister Aleksey Moiseev thinks. He added that the source of funds for the repayment of debt “must be found”.

      Earlier it was reported that the political decision on rendering of support to the state-owned corporation had already been taken. The government will soon have to determine the way it will be provided. The options of support are now being discussed with the financial authorities and the bank representatives. Vnesheconombank needs recapitalization in the amount of up to 500 billion.

      The Economic Development Minister Aleksei Ulyukayev speaking at the APEC summit said that the recapitalization would be significant, but probably less than 1.5 trillion roubles.
