Unexpected Find by Russian Scientists in Antarctic

Scientists of the Ural Federal University have found samples of meteorites in the Antarctic.

      TASS reported it with reference to the member of the Meteorite Committee, RAS, Professor Victor Grokhovsky.

      According to him, the size of two meteoric substance pieces makes three and five centimeters. In the middle of January, when the group of scientists returns to Yekaterinburg, study of the found substance will begin. Presently the team continues the search of meteorite samples for further studies.

      The group of scientists started off from Yekaterinburg as a part of the meteoric expedition in the middle of December. Research works are conducted in the land of Queen Maud, at the 100 kilometer distance from the Russian station Novolazarevskaya.
