Satellites of the system Arctic will be equipped with Russian components.
According to the CEO of Lavochkin R&D production facility Sergey Lemeshevsky, the Western sanctions against the Russian Federation will not prevent the launch of the first satellite of the orbital group Arctic planned for 2017.
He noted that practically all technological samples of the satellite devices are already available. At the same time the sanctions and change of the Federal Space Program will not affect the satellite launches since their circuitry is based on Russian components.
It should be noted that the satellites Arctic will transfer data to the Russian Hydrometeorological Department for making weather forecasts, as well as carrying out environmental control.
