Actors Elena Lyadova, Anton Shagin and Svetlana Hodchenkova will play in the film Dovlatov.

      The biographical film will cover several days from the life of the famous Russian writer Sergey Dovlatov in 1971. The film shootings will take place in St. Petersburg and its vicinities. The film makers plan to authentically recreate Leningrad of the early 1970s.

      The project plan is already over three years old; all this time Alexey German Jr. has been engaged in collecting historical material in archives, as well as negotiating and consulting with Dovlatov's family members, who support the idea of creating the biopic.

      The writer's daughter Katerina Dovlatova and widow Elena Dovlatova have been taking an active part in preparing for the film shooting for several years.
