Ural Director to Stage Play on Tragic Events in Donbass

The stage director Andrey Krupinin from Yekaterinburg will stage the play Native Land. Diaries of Donbass.

He plans to implement his project in one of the Moscow theaters.

“I was in Donbass in October, 2015 and saw lots of those people who became victims of the conflict; therefore the decision to write the play was made. Now that it has already been completed  we are staging it with actors of the Nikita Mikhalkov Academy from Moscow, Serbia, Israel, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg in Moscow", - Andrey Krupinin said.

The play will include plenty of interactive materials, such as photos and videos taken by the stage director on his trip to Donbass. “The play turned out to be documentary. It is based on people’s real destinies, and their stories of life and love” – he said.

Andrey Krupinin is a graduate of the Yekaterinburg Theatre Institute, one of the students of the famous playwright Nikolay Kolyada. His plays run in a number of theaters already.
