Total income from sale of the Russian cinema copyrights in the foreign markets in 2015 made 450 million rubles.
It is 50 million rubles more than in the previous year, the Izvestia news agency reports with reference to the Culture Ministry of the Russian Federation.
Russian movies were acquired for distribution in the territory of the USA, Great Britain, Israel, Poland, Korea, Baltic, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, China and other countries.
The Among full-length feature films the military patriotic movies The Dawns Are Quiet Here directed by Renata Davletyarova and Battle for Sevastopol by Sergey Mokritsky were sold best of all.
However the greatest interest among foreign buyers is still evoked by Russian animation: the animated film Snow Queen, which collected $5,7 million in film distribution of Great Britain, Israel, Poland, Korea, Baltic, Australia and New Zealand, and The Snow Queen 2: Refreezing, which collected $6 million altogether.
