Animated Film by Russian Director Nominated for Oscar

Konstantin Bronzit’s new work We Can't Live Without Space is among the five best short animations in the world.

We Can't Live Without Space has already got more than 50 international awards, RIA Novosti reports. It is Konstantin Bronzit’s second film nominated for Oscar. In 2008 it was his short animated film Lavatory – Lovestory. His animation Alyosha Popovic and Tugarin Zmey is very popular among general public in Russia.

According to experts, the new work by Konstantin Bronzit has every chance to receive a gold figurine at the Oscar award ceremony on February 28, 2016.

It is a reminder that in 2000 a Russian animation won the Oscar award – it was The Old Man and the Sea by the Russian director Alexander Petrov.
