Starting from the 1st of February, getting a Schengen visa to Norway will be faster. The consulate of Norway in Murmansk has declared that the time for consideration will be less – from 7 to 3 days.

“One of our priorities in 2016 is to make it as easy as possible for people to get Schengen.” – noted an employee from the visa department Nailya Yanborisova. As said before, residents of the Arctic Pole have started to apply for Schengen visas less often than before both to the consulate of Norway and the Murmansk Department of Finnish Consulate in Saint-Petersburg.

In 2015 the consulate of Norway in Murmansk has given out around 11.8 thousand visas (50% less than the year before).
