The ROSCOSMOS state corporation will allocate 58 billion rubles to construction of the new piloted spaceship named Federation.
It is nearly 3,5 times less than NASA ascribed to the SpaceX company for the piloted spacecraft Dragon. Financing of the Russian project is provided by the draft of the Federal Space Program (FSP) for 2016-2025.
According to the document, 58 billion rubles will be spent on developmental works of the Perspective Piloted Transport Complex till 2025. The amount is 8 billion rubles less, than planned last year.
The first launch of the Russian spacecraft named Federation is expected in 2021. The following launches to the International Space Station are scheduled for 2023.
