Fyodor Bondarchuk is Person of the Year

The film director and actor Fyodor Bondarchuk has won the prestigious Russian award Blockbuster in the nomination Person of the Year.

      The professional Russian cinema award Blockbuster was handed in on Monday.

      In 2015 Fyodor Bondarchuk jointly with Igor Ugolnikov produced the war film Battalion. The feature film about the hard lot of women during World War I won four Gold Eagle awards at once. Fyodor Bondarchuk took his personal Gold Eagle for the leading role in the sci-fi comedy The Ghost.

      The award Blockbuster established by the magazine Film Business Today in 1997 distinguishes the most successful movies in the Russian distribution.
