The Russian baritone Dmitry Khvorostovsky sang to a full house on stage of the Carnegie Hall in New York on Wednesday, February 17.
The famous opera singer gave a solo concert accompanied by the pianist Ivari Ilya, then took the curtain five times and gave an encore twice.
Earlier Dmitry Khvorostovsky appeared on stage of the Metropolitan Opera after the first course of treatment of brain tumor, which was detected by doctors in the beginning of summer. Several months later the singer needed a repeated treatment course, which he successfully took in a British clinic.
