The Ministry of Agriculture of Turkey reminded of the possibility of a ban on imports of grain from Russia. The Minister Faruk Celik who was quoted as Hurriyet, said that introducing such restrictions, Ankara would cause more damage to the Russian agricultural sector than Moscow to the Turkish one.

"Since the 1st of January Russia banned the import of fresh fruit and vegetables from Turkey. Before Russia imported fresh fruit and vegetables for about 750 million US dollars every year. On the other hand, our import from Russia of only one agricultural product, namely wheat, exceeds 1.1 billion US dollars", - said Celik. At the same time, he noted that Turkey does not prohibit the import of Russian grain, because it "is not good to force farmers to pay for what happened".
