March 1 saw the opening ceremony of the Year of Cinema in the movie center Record in Nizhny Novgorod.

      The film festival "Time. Homeland. Cinema" kicked off with the screening of the movie The End of a Fine Era, a winner of the Gold Eagle award.

      According to the press service of Record, the movie center was founded in 1910. In 2016 at the initiative of the regional Ministry of Culture it got a new team and started a new life.

      From March onward the best modern Russian cinema will be demonstrated in the Record, which will present thematic week selections of Film Constellation and Screen Version, as well as the program of the Open Russian Animation Festival.

      All over March residents and guests of Nizhny Novgorod are welcomed to visit Record free of charge.
