Urban Planning and Land Commission of Moscow government led by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has defined the urban parameters of two museums situated at VDNKh (Exhibition of Economic Achievements).
Urban Planning and Land Commission has approved the applications for registration of urban land plans for reconstruction and restoration of two historic pavilions of VDNKh – No.19 “The main demonstration and test computation center" and No. 32-34 “Space / Mechanical Engineering", Interfax reports.
On the basis of the pavilion No.19, built in 1966, together with "Rosatom" corporation it is planned to make a museum of nuclear energy. During the reconstruction of the facility its land area will be increased from 3.8 thousand to 16 thousand square meters. The center "Space and aviation" will be opened in the pavilion No. 32-34, erected in 1938-1939 and reconstructed in 1954. Creation of the center is carried out in collaboration with Rostekh Corporation and the Joint Rocket and Space Corporation. Pavilion No. 32-34, which is the object of cultural heritage, will not change its architectural appearance and its area will not be changed.
