Launch of Satellite Resource-P Postponed till March 13

Launch of the Earth remote sensing satellite Resource-P No.3 was postponed after automatic launch call-off system had worked.

The press service of Rososmos has reported that the satellite launch will take place at 9.56 pm Moscow time on March 13. Technical difficulties bacame the reason for this delay. Automatic shutdown of the engines occured during the launch of the carrier rocket Soyuz- 2.1b.

The delayed launch of the carrier rocket with the Earth observation satellite is not going to impact the schedule of the following spacecraft launches in March 2016.

The next launch of the spacecraft Soyuz is planned for March 19. The rocket will carry the manual craft TMA-20M Soyuz with the crew to the ISS.
