Vneshprombank convicted of asset withdrawal by the CB is thinking about suing Transaero for 1 billion rubles, TASS reports with a link to the case’s material. The claim will be looked into by the 27th of April. No other details on the case are mentioned.
Right now the court is looking into dozens lawsuits against the bankrupt airlines. On the other hand Transaero is suing the Ministry of Finance and Rosaviation.
The airways believe that the withdrawal of their operator certificate is illegal. Earlier this February the Moscow Arbitration has satisfied their claim against the Ministry of Finance worth 215 million rubles which were sent to the pensions’ fund. The financial collapsed of the company was caused by the high debt rate (over 250 billion rubles including leasing payments and 85 billion worth of bank credits) and the overall difficult situation caused by the Russian air transport market.
