Portraits of Russian Writers, Musicians, and Patrons of Art Exhibited in London

The National Portrait Gallery in London is hosting the unique exhibition Russia and Art. Tolstoy and Tchaikovsky's Century.

      The exposition includes 26 portraits provided from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery. The British will see famous Russians' portraits painted by Ilya Repin, Vassily Perov, and Valentin Serov.

      At the end of April visitors of the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow will see the British celebrities' portraits from the collection of the National Gallery, including those of William Shakespeare, Newton, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth I, and many others.

      The exhibition From Elizabeth to Victoria. English Portrait from the National Portrait Gallery will run in the Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val from April 23.
