Outstanding figures of the Russian theatre were distinguished with Oleg Tabakov Award in the run-up to the World Theatre Day.
The awards were granted to the Honored Atress of Russia Natalya Tenyakova for her role in The Jeweller's Jubillee staged by the Moscow Art Theatre and the stage director Konstantin Bogomolov, the actors Alexey Kravchenko and Igor Mirkurbanov for their roles in Moscow Art Theatre, the specialist in drama study Mai Turovskaya.
The renowned playwright Ivan Vyrypayev got the award for his plays staged in the Moscow Art Theatre. Another winnder is the outstanding set designer David Borovsky awarded for his reformation of the Russian scenographic art.
The board of trustees of the Tabakov Charity Foundation decided to award Oleg Tabakov personally for staging Nikola Makoliff's play The Jeweller's Jubillee.
