Former Art Director of Bolshoi Theatre Might Leave Russia

Sergey Filin, the former art director of the Bolshoi Theatre's ballet troupe may possibly leave Russia.

      The People's Artist of Russia Sergey Filin performed leading ballet parts in the Bolshoi Theatre for about 20 years. In 2007 he became the head of the ballet troupe of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater and in 2011 returned to the Bolshoi Theatre as the art director of its ballet company.

      In 2013 a terrible incident happened in the center of Moscow. A malefactor splashed Sergey Filin's face with sulphur acid. The sufferer had to undergo medical treatment for several months.

      In the summer of 2015 it became known that the Bolshoi Theatre would not prolong the employment contract with Sergey Filin. According to the TASS news agency, the ballet art director  The actor receives offers on permanent is presently getting offers on permanent appointment.
