Raphael's paintings and drawings from the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, and other collections will be displayed in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow in September, 2016.
It is going to be the first large-scale exhibition of art works by Raphael in Russia. Just a few of his paintings have been displayed in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts before: for example, at "the exhibitions of one painting" (Donna Velata, The Lady with a Unicorn, etc.).
The project is supervised by the doctor of art criticism, the chief researcher of the museum, the custodian of the Italian painting department Victoria Markova. The exhibition is going to take place under patronage of the Embassy of Italy to Russia and the ambassador Cesare Maria Ragaglini personally.
Earlier the Pushkin Museum held expositions dedicated to Caravaggio and Titian.
