The first Russian military-industrial tourist route has been solemnly opened in the Urals with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism. It was developed as a part of diversification of the domestic tourism offers and allows domestic and foreign tourists to get acquainted with the past and present of the Russian defense industry.
The route called “Voyentur” consists of three parts and includes visits to the production plants of “Uralvagonzavod”, as well as a tour of the museum of armored vehicles featuring samples of military vehicles made by “Uralvagonzavod” - from T-34 to T-90 - and more than 1,000 other exhibits: tank armor samples, shells, nodes and assemblies, instruments of observation and fire control, rare books and paintings. The final stage of the route is a visit to the tank polygon of UVZ where tourists are shown theT-90 tank in action.
