SOYUZ 2.1a Successfully Launched from Vostochny Spaceport

The carrier rocket Soyuz 2.1a with three spacecrafts started from the Vostochny spaceport at 5 am Moscow time today.

The booster Volga with spacecrafts separated from the third stage of the rocket at 5:10:09 am. Satellites Lomonosov, Aist 2D and SamSat 218 have been put to target orbit. The satellites transfer telemetric information in regular mode to downlink points.

The carrier rocket launch was planned for 5:01 am on April 27, 2016, but postponed for a day and night because automatic equipment of land control system aborted the takeoff program 1,5 minutes prior to launch. The Roscosmos head Igor Komarov reported that it could happen due to substandard work of one of the cables in the control system,  Interfax informs.
