Visitors of the exhibition History of Soviet Cinema in Film Poster will see over 300 posters of 1919-1991.
The unique exhibits are divided into four sections. In the first part there are posters of the 1920s, including those of the classical silent movie The Girl with a Box directed by Boris Barnet, the first Soviet sci-fi film Aelita directed by Yakov Protazanov and the cult historical film Battleship of Potemkin by director Sergey Eisenstein.
The second section presents Soviet motion picture art of the 1930s - 1950s.
Besides, here you can see the greatest number of posters to the films, which never went on general release.
The Thaw Epoch is presented with posters to films Striped Flight by Vladimir Fetin, War and Peace by Sergey Bondarchuk and Morozko by Alexander Row.
The last section covers the period of the late 1960s - early 1990s.
