Russia have beaten Sweden 4-1 in a crucial game to take on the less formidable Germany in the quarterfinals of the World Championship taking place in Moscow.

      Tre Kronor was crushed in a tremendous display of creativity and firepower.

      The goals were scored by Dadonov, Panarin, Datsyuk, Lyubimov.

      Russia’s coach Oleg Znarok said he would continue to work on improving the power play performance ahead of the playoff stage.

      Russia gained 18 points in seven games, staying behind the Czech Republic.
