Robotics Hackathon among School Students Held near Moscow

20 seniors from the towns of Dubna and Dmitrov participated in the first ever hackathon for young programmers.

      It was a two-day marathon in the course of which school students were to create robots, working together under professionals' guidance.

      Master classes for future robot technicians were part and parcel of the event.

      The seventh-grader Semyon Tyunin became the winner of the competitions. Using a box of spare parts he designed and constructed a dancing robot.

      "I am going to connect my future profession with robotics. For example, I might create equipment that will do household tasks and chores", - the winner said.

      Competitions took place at Grammar School No. 8 in scientific Dubna town of the Moscow Region. Special technical ingeneering subjects will be shortly introduced  for school studies here.
