Unique Harness with Winged Horses Found by Archeologists in Krasnodar Territory

The finds belong in ancient culture referred to as "the culture of cremation burials" by scientists.

Scientists of the Archeology Institute, RAS found a unique horse harness in the course of excavations in an undisturbed barrow of the  9th - 10th centuries in the Krasnodar Territory.

"This set is unique thanks to its silver onlays with pictures of heraldic horses,  which we have never found before. The Alanians had images of heraldic winged horses on fabrics, but it is a totally different culture", - the head of the excavation Irina Rukavishnikova said.
