The monument to the famous poet and writer will appear in the center of Moscow, near the place where he was born.
One more monument — that to the inventor of AK-47, Mikhail Kalashnikov - will be set up nearby.
Both the monuments will be located in the Oruzheyny Square. Kalashnikov monument will stand next to the intersection of the Sadovo-Karetnaya and Krasnoproletarskaya Streets, whereas Pasternak's sculpture will take its place at the opposite side of the park, near House 3 in the Oruzheyny Lane, where the poet was born.
The author of the monument to Pasternak, famous sculptor Zurab Tsereteli, has depicted the poet sitting to on a park bench and holding a book in his hand.
