The book festival opened in the Red Square since Friday is timed to Alexander Pushkin's birthday and the Russian Language Day.
400 publishing houses from all over Russia have presented more than 100 thousand books by Russian and foreign authors in the main square of this country. Several topic-based platforms arranged in the Red Square host meetings with writers and screenwriters, as well as theatrical performances.
The festival will last till June 6, which marks the 217th anniversary since the birth of Alexander Pushkin.
During the festival 200 books will be presented by their authors, who can give you authographs. The festival price of the books is quite attractive: it will be around 25 percent less than in shops.
