The animated films, most popular with the Russians, were released in the Soviet era. Experts of the Public Opinion Foundation have come to such a conclusion based on a poll.
Thus, 42 per cent of respondents first of all remember the animation Just You Wait! (Nu Pogodi), which was made in 1969. As for modern animated films, Masha and the Bear is in the lead, with 16 per cent of votes.
Among other favourite Soviet children's animated films and movies the Russians name Winnie-the-Pooh, Prostokvashino, Morozko, Gena the Crocodile, and Adventures of Electronic.
The list of modern children's movies and animated films popular amonf the Russians include Three Athletes (7 per cent), and Alyosha Popovic and Tugarin Zmey (4 per cent).
According to 38 per cent of respondents, the Russian animation is presently in decline. Only 25 per cent of respondents disagree with this point of view.
Besides, every second parent believes that today it is necessary to make more good fairy tales for children, and every third parent would like to see more of historical, scientific and educational and adventure movies.
