Andrey Tarkovsky Film Festival Runs in Plyos

The 10th International Andrey Tarkovsky Film Festival "The Mirror" is presently held in the town of Plyos.

      This year the competitive program includes the Russian, American, English, Belgian, Kyrgyz, Polish, Kazakhstan, Colombian and Czech movies. Russia is represented at the festival with The Performance by Andrey Eshpay.

      The festival kicked off with demonstration of the movies Listening to Beethoven directed by Harry Bardin, Before Love by Igor Kovalyov and Andrei Rublyov by Andrey Tarkovsky. Film screenings take place in a few towns of the Ivanovo Region, namely Plyos, Ivanovo, Yuryevets and Kineshma.

      An international jury headed by the Dutch director Jos Stelling will estimate the works and select winners.

      The festival runs till June 19.
