Water In St. Petersburg Is Not Good For Swimming

Only the water in Bezymyannoye Lake is good for swimming in St. Petersburg, but it is not recommended because of deplorable beach, the press service of the City of Rospotrebnadzor reported. The water in almost all water bodies of the city does not meet the requirements of sanitary legislation. At the same time the quality of the sand does not cause fears of Rospotrebnadzor, except for children and adults beaches on the river Izhora. The Office also notes that the improvement of recreation areas in Upper Suzdal Lake, Middle Suzdal Lake, and Lower Suzdal Lake, Olginsky pond, Bezymyannoye Lake and the beaches of Izhora is not implemented in full.
