Monument to  Ivan the Terrible Will Appear In Orel

Russia's first monument to the Russian Tsar and to the founder of Orel, Ivan the Terrible, will be opened in this city during the celebration of the 450th anniversary of its foundation, the governor of the Oryol region Vadim Potomsky said.

      "It would stand in front of the Theater of Young Spectators. We chose a normal place for that", - Vadim Potomsky said at the press conference. Six sculptors have worked for the project of the monument. "Sculptors will be presented on the day when we will install the monument", - the governor informed. According to him, the monument will be erected on donations of citizens.
