As reported by ROSCOSMOS earlier, the Russian perspective Moon piloted flight project provides circumnavigation of the planet and landing on its surface.
The Khrunichev Space Center is preparing a special modification of the Angara space rocket for the Moon program, and implementation of the project will be carried out in a two-launch scenario. The head of the center Andrey Kalinovsky reported about it in interview to the Izvestiya newspaper.
"Now our main efforts are directed on the project work of Angara-A5P - the piloted version of the rocket which should start for the first time from the Vostochny spaceport in 2021. Angara-A5P with astronauts onboard will depart in 2023. After completion of work with this project we will right away turn to Angara-A5B, which is going to be launched in 2025", - he noted.
