Residents and guests of the Altai Region within five days will recall the works of the actor, director and writer Vasily Shukshin during the annual festival "Shukshin Days in Altay", which is opened in Barnaul. This year the festival takes place in a small Motherland of Vasiliy Shukshin, in the Altai Region, by the 40th time.

      On Tuesday in Barnaul the start of Shukshin Film Festival will be given, which is always greater than other activities that the guests of the celebrations are awaiting during the festival. This year a delegation of filmmakers are represented by well-known actors of theater and cinema: Andrei Merzlikin, Dmitry Marjanov, Valery Barinov, Sergei Makhovikov, Larisa Shakhvorostova, Sergei Batalov and others. At the same time on Wednesday in the city the creative evenings of guests and participants of the festival will be held.
