Polish Film Festival Kicks Off in St. Petersburg

The opening ceremony will start in the movie center Giant Park of the Aleksandrovsky Garden at 8 pm today.


The program consists of 6 cult films by Polish film directors.


      The festival will open with the St. Petersburg premiere of the drama Body directed by Malgojata Shumovskaya. It is the best Polish film of 2015.


On August 11 the festival will be crowned with the Polish film classics - the black-and-white comedy Lodger directed by Janusz Mayevsky and starring Jan Makhulsky in the leading role.


      It should be noted that admission to all film demonstrations is traditionally free. Free tickets are given 30 minutes prior to the screening.
