The Moscow Open Photoclub is holding a large-scale festival that presents fascinating underwater landscapes and denizens of the sea.
Last year the Wild Underwater World festival took place in Moscow, Obninsk and Uglich, having brought together several thousand viewers in total. The geography of the project keeps growing: this time it has embraced Kislovodsk, Saransk, Grozny, Naberezhnye Chelny and Minsk as well.
The exposition includes pictures by 60 Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Kazakh, German, Swedish, Indonesian and Thai photographers working in the seas, oceans and lakes in different corners of the Earth. Their shots demonstrate exuberance of underwater florae and faunae.
The festival runs in the Darwin Museum (57, Vavilov Street, next to Akademicheskaya metro station) from August 4 to September 26.
