Russian Graduates Won Prestigious Programming Competition in the USA

The graduate of ITMO University Gennady Korotkevich has for the third time become the winner of Google Code Jam.

      Two more graduates of the National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics in Saint Petersburg have made it into the Top 15. Evgeny Kapun is the 4th and Pavel Mavrin is the 13th.

      The two-time ACM ICPC champion Gennady Korotkevich proved his current title of the of Google Code Jam winner, having scored 170 points out of 200.

      The 2nd prize went to Kevin Sogo from the Filippines, and the 3rd prize went to Egor Kulikov from Russia.

      Evgeny Kapun (the champion of ACM ICPC 2009 and 2012, the graduate of ITMO University) became the 4th.

      The student of the Ural Federal University and the silver medallist of ACM ICPC 2016 Oleg Merkuryev became the 5th.

      The graduate student of the Nizhniy Novgorod University Vlad Yepifanov, the medallist of ACM ICPC 2011 and 2016 took the 12th place.

      The graduate and the teacher of the ITMO University, the champion of ACM ICPC 2004 Pavel Mavrin and the student of the Nizhniy Novgorod University and the medallist of ACM ICPC 2016 Nikolay Kalinin took the 13th and 14th places respectively.
