Cost of Future Moon Program Assessed by Experts

Experts managed to assess the cost of Russia's upcoming Moon Program.

      

      At present it is known that Roscosmos is going to spend 480 million rubles on researching aspects of implementation of piloted flights to the Moon, the website of state procurements reports.

      

      Scientific developments will be related to creation of key elements and technologies that will ensure safety of astronauts' stay and work in the circumlunar orbit. The works will be conducted by the Central Research Institution of Mechanical Engineering (TsNIIMash). Experts will be given one and a half years for implementation of this project. During this term they shall solve several topical problems as well as develop a medical and biological aspect for astronauts' comfortable stay in extraterrestrial space.
