The President of Russia Vladimir Putin considers the development of civil shipbuilding to be one of the main strategic objectives for strengthening of the industrial potential of the Far East. According to “Interfax”, he said this  at the site of the “Zvezda” shipbuilding complex in the town of Bolshoi Kamen.

      According to him, the establishment of the “Zvezda” complex “is highly important for the entire domestic shipbuilding industry”. Putin noted that the project of the shipyard construction was complicated and capital-intensive, so “it is very important to calculate all aspects of the business plan, including the provision of capacity utilization”.
