The renowned composer and author of popular songs Sergey Kastorsky has died at the age of 69. His creativity is widely known as performed by a wide range of the Russian variety stars.

      Sergey Kastorsky, who was often published under the pen name of Sergey Ogarkov authored songs for Mikhail Boyarsky, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Edita Piekha, Lev Leshchenko, Larisa Dolina and other famous Russian performers.

      The composer was born in Riga, but spent most of his life in St. Petersburg. Sergey Kastorsky has left the heritage of over 500 songs, including those that make symbols of the whole era.
