The privatization of the state-owned “Rosneft” shares may happen before the end of this year.  According to the Head of State, the deal will take place in 2016, if the government and the management of “Rosneft” will be able to find a strategic investor.

      The President also added that the privatization of the control stake of “Bashneft” was not relevant at the moment, since the government had decided to postpone it. Putin also commented on the possible participation in the purchase of the securities by “Rosneft” when the Cabinet of Ministers decides to review this issue.
