Diana Vishneva to Leave American Ballet in June, 2017

During the spring season of 2017 the dancer will perform Tatyana's part in the ballet Onegin.

      The famous Russian dancer Diana Vishneva will finish her performances in the troupe of the American Ballet Theater in June, 2017. It is stated in the message of the New York based ballet theater.

      "Diana Vishneva, who has been the prima-ballerina of the American Ballet Theater since 2005, will give her last performances with the troupe on the stage of the Metropolitain Opera during the spring season of 2017", - the message reads. As announced by the theater, the dancer will perform Tatyana's part in the ballet Onegin on June 19 and 23.

      Diana Vishneva is the People's Artiste of Russia, and the three-time winner of the national theatre award Gold Mask. Following the results of the Dance Europe magazine poll in 2002 she was recognized the best dancer of Europe.
