The 1st Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Festival will take place in Sochi from September 22 to September 25 .

      The renowned Russian actress would have celebrated her 90th anniversary on October 25 this year. Events in honor of Galina Vishnevskaya are held in several cities of Russia.

      The festival will start with a gala concert featuring soloists of the G. Vishnevskaya Oper Center, namely Irina Morevaya, Sergey Polyakov and Alexander Kasyanov. Yuli Gertsev, Angelo Fiore and Daniel Kapiello will also participate in the concert. The performance program includes music pieces from the repertoire of the famous singer.

      During the festival the audience will see a photo exhibition on life and creativity of Galina Vishnevskaya in the Winter Theater.
