Russian Cinema Week Started in Madrid for the First Time

The film festival runs with assistance of the RF Culture Ministry as part of the Year of Russian Cinema and Spain-Russia cross year of tourism.

      From September 20 to September 22 the film screenings took place in Cine Capitol, one of the most famous movie theaters of Madrid. All the films are accompanied with the Spanish subtitles.

      The Week of the Russian Cinema will present six films in various genres.

      The epic military drama Battle for Sevastopol (2015) directed by Sergey Mokritsky tells about events of the Great Patriotic War.

      Legend No. 17 (2013) by the Nikolay Lebedev takes viewers to the sport world with all of its hard fights for victory and


      The Green Carriage (2015) by Oleg Asadulin and Correction Class (2014) by Ivan Tverdovsky acquaint the audience with modern realities.

      The festival visitors will also see the comedies About Love (2015) by Anna Melikyan and Without Borders (2015) by Karen Oganesyan, Rezo Gigineishvili and Roman Prygunov.
