Scientists from Russia and China to Study the Arctic Together

The Arctic Research Centre has been founded by experts of the Far East Federal University and the Harbin Technology Institute.

      Scientists will start designing platforms for producing hydrocarbons in the shelf zone, study the influence of cold on various materials and reaction of ice loads to all-engineering constructions.

      The expert group is aimed at fundamental research in the field of industrial study of the Arctic. The priorities are designing ice-resistant constructions for the Arctic zone of Russia and measuring the durability of  concrete in the polar zone.
