This year the 20th Competizione dell'Opera is taking place in the main music theater of Russia.

      Finalists of the International Contest of Italian Opera Singers - Competizione dell'Opera - were announced in the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre, where the famous event has been held since September 27.

      A considerable part of finalists are representatives of the Russian opera school, including Gleb Peryazev (St. Petersburg), Oksana Sekerina (Novy Urengoy), Darya Terekhova, Karina Demurova, Elena Bezgodkova, Maria Ostroukhova (all - Moscow), Anastasia Shchegoleva (Lipetsk), and Olga Tenyakova (Yekaterinburg).

      For participation in the current contest more than 600 young opera singers underwent casting in many cities worldwide in the course of one year.
